January in New York can leave a complexion dull and pale. Yet, Elizabeth Banksmanaged to pull off the most natural bronze glow at the premiere of her new film Man on a Ledge. Her secret? Earlier in the week she had an appointment with St. Tropez's spray tan expert Fiona Locke. Locke says, "Elizabeth went for a pastel tan," which means a lighter, softer tone. Locke recommends building color with a gradual self-tanning lotion over the course of a few days, being sure to exfoliate first for an even finish. An illuminating lotion along the cheekbones and décolletage add an ideal touch of shimmer and prevent the tan from looking flat and one-note.
